There are alot of pics, it might take a moment to finish loading.
Starting off this page is the original Ford produced beauty ring
on non-correct chromed Argent rims. Notice on the ring that the
outside facing edge is polished while the inside is brushed.
While Argent rim finishes did vary for Ford
all Talladegas would have come with the silver finish.
This is an example of the correct Argent rims
with the reproduction beauty rings.
This is showing a repainted Big T with the paint line
running at the edge of the deck lid panel to the rear panel.
This shows it's not a factory paint job because the paint line
follows the sheet metal line and under the seal.
It also shows the correct tire location for fastback intermediates
on the side rather than in the middle underneath the package try
that would be on all the other body styles with bigger deck lids.
This is how the lines would look from Ford with the same
black color all the way across.
The hood is completely black top and bottom. So is the cowl.
As covered earlier, these rims are not stock to the T.
The black is a duller finish although some have said that
they have seen a slightly gloss finish on an original hood.
This is a good example of the proper non waxed and polish finish.
The paint on this Talladega was very detail oriented.
It was an ideal subject to show of the correct pin striping.
The pin striping was a single piece instead of two seperate lines.
Starting together they run the length of the car and don't remerge.
This blue T in the photos on this page are said to be original paint.
This shot shows the striping running under the antenna.
and stopping just shy of the mirror.
They pick back up just afer the mirror to
continue the journey down the doors.
This is the same blue T.
Here you see that they stop again just shy of the
door emblem and start right back up.
This picture show the door emblem. They were cast
aluminum and adhered to the doors. Both are identical.
They were slightly polished not chrome with painted recesses.
The end of the lines.
Once again, this is said to be Ford paint.
